I have the 80" as well but too cumbersome for short cuts, so got the shorter one for smaller pieces - along with the coupler that allows longer cuts by joining the two. Easy to use, requires a little bit of play to determine exactly where the final cut would be so you can line up properly. I also use a couple of dewalt clamps that fit in the rail track to secure it to the workpiece. Festoon seems as well but the dealt are cheaper and work very well. Be careful when taking the clamp off as the rail is light enough that if the piece is skinnier than the rail it can flip and land on the floor. The aluminum is fragile so you can end up with a slightly bent corner when it hits a hard floor. I use this rail with the Festool plunge saw, and get a straight accurate cut each time. In addition to cutting plywood I used it to cut some old, thick (approx 2 1/2") stringers I had around. At 16' they were hampering my floor space in the workshop. Cut easily and now I think I will use the two rails together to trim the boards so I can join them - for a desktop or even a workbench. Dewalt has their own guide rail system which will probably work better for you. **Q: Do these rails come with clamps?** A: They do not come with clamps. I got mine without the clamps, then a week later bought the clamps.
