## Overview

ARCTIC MX-4 is a premium thermal paste featuring carbon microparticles for superior thermal conductivity (8.5 W/mK), metal-free and non-conductive for safe application, and an 8-year durability that ensures long-term, hassle-free cooling for CPUs and GPUs. Trusted by professionals and enthusiasts alike, it offers easy application and guaranteed authenticity, making it the go-to choice for maintaining optimal processor temperatures.

## Description

Product description High thermal conductivity The surfaces of processor chips and cooler floors are covered with microscopic dents; ARCTIC‘s MX-4 thermal paste is composed of carbon microparticles which fill these cavities. This leads to extremely high thermal conductivity, ensuring that heat is dissipated quickly and efficiently from the CPU or GPU. With its outstanding performance, the MX-4 is not only an excellent choice for overclockers and enthusiasts, but also for other sapplications that require thermal transmission. Easy application Thanks to its consistency, MX-4 is easy to apply, even for beginners. The video in the picture gallery demonstrates the application technique to avoid air pockets between processors and coolers. Secure usage In contrast to pastes based on metal oxides or liquid metal, ARCTIC’s MX-4 is metal-free and not electrically conductive. This eliminates the risk of short circuiting, and eliminates the need to worry about corrosion damage to the radiator floor caused by liquid metal. 100 % original through Authenticity Check To ensure that your paste is genuine, there is the ARCTIC Authenticity Check. This allows every product to be reliably verified. A counterfeit offers neither the performance nor the durability of the original ARCTIC pastes. Technical Specifications Density: 2.50 g/cm³ Viscosity: 31,600 Poise Volume Resistivity: 3.8 x 10¹³ Ω-cm Continuous Use Temperature: -50~150 °C Colour: Grey

Review: One of the best regardless of what benchmarks say - OK SO I juts built 2 new Ryzen 9 3900X systems that I want air cooled becasue I don't want to fuss with water. I bought a Noctura NH-U14S and added a second fan to optimize cooling. I used the supplied paste and the temps were great, never going over 76C with all cores at 4.1GHz for over 15 mi. I wanted to try some other pastes and was looking at TG Kryo, but saw that as temps get to 80C it breaks down and then I as look deeper into the Noctura paste and saw that it would likely need replacing in ~3 years. Well my old server is running Artic Ceramique for over 5 years without any issues or change sin temps. Years ago I used Artic Silver then Artic Ceramique and decided I wanted a once and done application without having to worry about when I might need to reapply. I did both my server and my new workstation, both Ryzen 9 3900X same Noctura HSF. Well as good as many think the Noctura paste is MX4 is actually giving me a tad better results. Keep in mind nether system location is very cool, server ambient is around 76-79F(24.5-26C) and my workstations is often 74-76F(23.3-24.5) and with all cores at 4.1GHz over 30 min. the server never got above 167F(75C) and the workstation never got above 162F(72C) well within the limits of 95C for the CPU. Whiel many benchmarks say the MX4 is abotu neck and neck with the Noctura paste I actually am seeing 1-3C advantage on the Artic MX4. And the MX4 shoudl last 8 years without m having to reapply. This is really some excellent stuff. Also when I pulled the HSF the Noctura paste had 100% coverage so the application was fine. I did try a modified 5 dot method on the Ryzen 9. I did doe a small dot over where each CPU die is and the IO die then a smaller dot in center and 1 in from each corner assuring good coverage and especially where it matters, over the dies. Forget worrying about what benchmarks say, this stuff has been around a long time and works well and all Artic pastes have been excellent products. As long as you are well within the thermal limits of CPU go for an economical paste that will last and MX4 is it!
Review: Wonderful - I fly fpv planes. And my goggles were freezing up, a common issue is the thermal paste. So i cleaned it and bought this product. Zero issues.

The best heat transfer paste even better than their MX-6. The NX-4 is easier to spread and seems to resist drying much longer.
