I have it connected in-line along with the separate Ethernet adaptor. Both the ethernet adaptor and this cable pass the power onwards through to the Fire TV. Upon opening, I was pleased to see that there was a nice, sturdy cardboard box, a smaller version of the one my keyboard had, with a clearly printed diagram for its connection on the side. Within, it had been placed in a small, sealed plastic bag. The cable itself is reassuringly thick, with a nice rubberised feel and of sufficient length. The jacks seem well crimped and the connections, particularly the dongle in the usb jack, very secure. The Fire Stick 4K is responding flawlessly with my keyboard.
