As I was watching the “docuseries”…I was struck by the simple beauty of the poet’sexpression of universal themes ..& thot I’d like to find out if these poems were devised for the presentation…or if there’s “a real poet “ present? Fortunately…there’s a real poetand here’s her works…Ordinarily not following poets or poetry…&Ignorant …then…of the life affirming works..universal recognition….accolades…awards …of gifted poet….Elizabeth Bishop….I learned of this book of her poetry…& immediately ordered it! I haven’t been disappointed! It’s now present on my nightstand…to be opened…at will…& often….
