The first few days I felt some soreness in the middle of my foot, the highest arch area and I realized it is because there is actually a support structure there touching the arch. For maybe the first time I was getting firm arch support. Now I have adjusted to that. As to plantar problems, that is an area that seems to have dozens of " answers" and none of them are the same. Most do agree that plantar soreness leading to heel soreness starts with the plantar being over stretched, so one has to think it is a good idea to support area with these shoes. So I would recommend getting these shoes, wearing them hours a day and trying to speed up healing with the other multiple strategies... heat, cold,stretch, rest,compression, night splint, orthotics, and so on.
