Which leads me to my real point *by J***E on May 12, 2016* As far as the product goes, it works totally as advertised. It was a breeze to install. I just cut the power to the area, unscrewed the wall plate, unscrewed the prior switch, unscrewed the screws connecting the wiring, refit the wiring around the screws on the dimmer switch and put everything back. Five minutes per switch and done. A few months later and everything is working great. Which leads me to my real point. Dimmer switches are AWESOME! I have a new construction home that has recessed LED lighting throughout and it is BRIGHT. So bright, in fact, that we never turned them on unless we were looking for something that our infant lost or if we were taking interior pictures. We had lamps for regular use. It was crazy bright. Enter these dimmer switches and now my home is SEXY. The little button to the right of the main switch toggles through about 10-12 different shades of light ranging from as bright as original to off. there is a nice little setting before off that is very dim and perfect for if you are watching a movie or napping but don't want pitch black. Another great feature is when you go from off to on and vice-versa, the light fades in/out. Its a nice touch that multiple people have commented on. Also, the light automatically goes to your last dim level when you turn the lights back on and there is a little LED indicator to let you know what level you are. If you don't have dimmers installed in your house, I would recommend it. they are a great, inexpensive way to make your house more enjoyable, cooler, more attractive. Since I installed the first one in the living room I have bought three more for the bedroom, basement and kitchen.
