My mother ordered this journal for me since I misplaced the original that we hand-picked from a Barnes & Noble bookstore. I enjoyed writing in the book so much that I refused to write in any other book other than one that looked exactly like the one I had before. I loved that the product came wrapped in SEALED plastic. It had a new, scallion odor, but in the best way. The paper pages smelled great also. Another detail, the book came one day earlier than expected. My eight year old niece loved getting this for Christmas.  It's big enough that you don't have to write on tiny little lines (like some diaries).  As a little girl who's coming into wanting some privacy, she loved all the sayings on the diary.  Only took a star off because the lock is obviously less than stellar, but what can you expect from a little girl's diary?
