The plastic coating also gives this magnet the added benefit of greatly increasing the durability of the magnet by absorbing the shock that would otherwise break any normal neodymium magnet. When used in normal conditions, this magnet is almost unbreakable! This magnet also features 2 holes going through the center of the magnet that are countersunk on both sides, so you no longer have to try to differentiate magnets by polarity when ordering magnets or assembling them into products or projects. Each side is countersunk to fit a #6 Flathead screw, and the holes are exactly 1” apart. These magnets are made using the strongest type of magnetic material commercially available, Grade N52 Neodymium, and have a pull force of around 65 lbs. The pull force of this magnet is slightly less than a regular magnet because of the added thickness of the plastic coating, but the end result is that it’s much more durable than any standard nickel coated neodymium magnet. This magnet measures 2" on its length, 1" through its width, and 0.5" through its height, and has 2 #6 countersunk holes measuring 1" apart. It's magnetized through its 0.5" height. The internal gauss measurements of this magnet is 14,400 gauss, and has a slightly reduced pull force due to its plastic coating. The plastic does not affect the magnet or dampen its strength, but the drop in pull force is due to the plastic adding distance between the magnet and the material that it is trying to stick to.
