## Overview

Friday the 13th for NES plunges you into the eerie Crystal Lake campground where you control six counselors navigating forests, caves, and cabins. With three distinct gameplay screens, you must gather weapons and items while battling Jason, wolves, bats, and zombies. This cult classic offers a tough, strategic survival experience that demands quick thinking and nerves of steel.

## Description

From the Manufacturer It's a pretty typical summer at Crystal Lake. There's a group of happy children staying in the Camp. You and your six camp counselor friends are watching over the kids while enjoying the lake and the wilderness. The days are bright and sunny. The nights are cool and clear. And Jason is on a rampage. It's up to you to stop him, but it's not going to be easy. You must first fight your way through forests filled with man-eating wolves, caves covered with blood sucking bats and hordes of mindless zombies everywhere you turn. You must also help any friend who is in danger, or else you can just kiss them goodbye. And hiding in a cabin or staying adrift in a canoe won't keep you safe--Jason will find you anywhere. The only way to survive this summer is to challenge Jason face to face, and destroy him. The object of the game is simple, you must stay alive long enough to find a way to defeat Jason once and for all. To do this requires nerves of steel as you explore Crystal Lake Campground, encountering its many hidden dangers, and searching for the weapons and other items you will need to accomplish your fearful task.Friday the 13th is made up of three kinds of screens. The map screen shows the location of the counselors during the game. The side view screen is used when exploring outside and the interior screen is used when exploring inside a room. You switch back and forth between the 6 different counselors as you explore and battle your way around the cabins and trails of Crystal Lake. You have to find and equip the counselors with weapons and other power items you find along the way. Once you gather enough, you can turn the tables on Jason and begin to hunt him.

Review: Awesome Game - This game is very challenging and takes a while to get the hang of it; however, it is now my ultimate favorite NES game. I absolutely love it. You can switch between six counselors while trying to defeat Jason and his mom. You have to find weapons, keys, notes, medicine, and other goodies while entering the cave, forests, trails and lake area. This is pretty tough to do while Jason kills your kids and counselors non-stop. If you buy this game, here is a tip: If you use a counselor to go to the cabin just outside and above the cave road, you will find a note that directs you to the torch in a cabin by the lake. You can do this for numerous counselors until you all have this TOP weapon of the game. Good luck!

I recently bought a console that plays NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis games and one game i had in mind that i couldn't wait to get was Friday the 13th. I remember this game from when i was a kid but i guess i forgot how hard it was. I don't remember it being that hard when i was younger but it is hard to me now!! LOL. The copy i purchased is in great condition. It looks brand new. So, i was disappointed when i popped it in and it didn't work. I ended up getting another copy for 1/3 the price and no shipping that works great. I wont purchase another video game online again. Lesson learned.
