Making sure all your enemies remain in the cone of the flamethrower and don't flank you is one of Torch's major challenges. The secondary attack is a horseshoe toss. Horseshoes that hit stay stuck to the target, and if you take the lower upgrade path you can make them do things like damage continuously or explode. Torch can even animate them to attack enemies independently! The final attack is a pirouette that damages nearby enemies.
