I was not aware this product had laxative ingredient and that is what was causing my dog to be flatulent and have constant diarrhea for months. Now that I have spent a ton of money and time figuring this out and taken her off this supplement and put her back on Denamarin which does not include a laxative, she is back to herself. I feel awful for putting her through months of belly aches and anal gland expressions to save money. I do not recommend and have found no evidence that laxatives need to be added to SamE. I have found it to be in every brand I looked at. Denamarin costs more than buying SamE and Milk thistle does not have laxatives and will still cost less than vet visits, adding pre and pro biotics, Benefiber, diet changes etc. And your dog will thank you! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will buy again *by S***4 on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2019* The vet said my 13 year old dog needed a supplement to help her liver levels. We haven’t rechecked the levels yet but my dog is acting like she feels a lot better.
