They usually didn't fit well and let the wearer be able to peek too much. This one though is great! I was a bit skeptical when I pulled it out of the package, but was very pleasantly surprised when I (husband) put it on. Once situated it completely blocked out 99% of the light and the little bit that showed through was such a small sliver you couldn't make out anything. The elastic band is wide and reasonably comfortable depending on the size of your head. For me, it puts just a little bit more pressure on my eyes than I would like for long term use. But, for my wife with a smaller head, it wasn't an issue. Since she'll be wearing it the most it's not really an issue for us. The blindfold also stayed in place when turning and rotating your head while laying back on the bed. One slight discomfort we both noticed was on the bridge of the nose. It's slightly irritating where the inside fleece lining ends and transitions to the leather. The bridge of your nose rubs on that uncushioned edge. This is pretty minor and I will probably first try sanding it with an emery board to try and smooth the edge a bit. This is one of the better ones. Still lets in a little light around nose area but unless I pass right up close she couldn't tell where I was. If you only use for sleeping it's probably a good one. If you use it for play not so much. Good for the teasing part not so good for action.
