The PGA Pro recommended that I tee the ball up more to catch it on the upswing more. That solved my problem but I wasn't consistent when sticking the longer tees in ground leaving the ball at the same height each time. I started using 3 1/4" step down tees but discovered that their above ground shafts were not tall enough until I purchased this brand. The distance is 1 7/8" above the ground which is exactly what I needed. If you are in need of a 3 1/4" tee that gives you the maximum ball height, this is the only brand I have found that gives you that.
