It makes a light jacket, into a medium/heavy jacket. Warm enough for all but the bitterly cold days. So if you have a M65 style jacket with the buttons for the liner, why add the liner for the colder months? Note: I had to move some buttons around, because they didnt line up, but I also had a "Ultra Force" stylish style jacket, so Im not passing blame, just warning you might need to do some sewing for it to fit perfectly.
