This is a solid plastic. And really is as shown. Down to the color.Now the bad. This is built cheaply. The solid plastic does not mean a real plastic hinge, rather the "hinge" is the piece of plastic that wears out after ten or twenty uses. Worse yet the belt clips is removable, which sounds good except that it will not stay. So, it isn't even useful as a belt clip. You could lose your medication, and should a child see this on the street they could die. And you WOULD lose it if you used it as the advertising says this is for.Useful, but not the easy EDC you expect.
