For example, the adhesive on the patch that I got, which is supposed to hold the spacer against the patch was old and no longer stuck. I used picture framing "double stick" which I already had which worked beautifully, but it was "fresh." Don't expect to use the adhesive piece that is supplied with it. Chances are it is old and will not stick.The spacer may not be the right length for your job and require shortening, which I accomplished on both pieces by a large "pinching pliers" that I had at home. However, after you shorten it, it will work fine. This situation often occurs if there is a piece of wood framing behind what you are repairing.Finally, there is the issue of using a keyhole saw on a section of wallboard that you might not know what is behind it. I don't like keyhole saws because you might be sawing against a live electrical wire behind the piece you are repairing . If you are repairing a defect already in the wallboard, you might be able to shine a light into it and see if there is any electrical wire crossing the line of the saw blade. Some people use this product to create a new opening, say to examine if a pipe may be leaking behind the wall board. They want to examine the piping.I used a couple of chisels which were new and very sharp and hammered out the wall board on the lines I drew. They worked beautifully. This was a good idea because just behind the patch I was working on, there WAS an electrical wire RIGHT behind it!. You just don't know. I think keyhole saws can be dangerous. (The video by the manufacturer show a young woman using one).DON'T USE A KEYHOLE SAW UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THERE ARE NO ELECTRIC WIRES BEHIND IT. SAWING THROUGH A SECTION OF ELECTRICAL WIRE CAN BE DANGEROUS, NOT TO MENTION THAT IT IS UNLIKELY YOU TURNED OFF THE POWER BEFORE YOU STARTED THE REPAIR.The patch itself worked fine, but you should also use some drywall tape around the borders, which I already had at home. You can find out how to lay down the tape on Youtube. It is generally a good idea to watch some videos on repairing drywall before you start, unless you have previous experience, which as it turns out, I did. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Easy *by E***G on Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2014* We watched a video before we bought this. It was as easy as the video seemed. The only problem was that it was hard to get it to go deep enough to be flush with the wall. It is harder to press down than the video showed. Then, it was still sticking out of the wall slightly, even after the brace was pressed all the way together. I had to remove the adhesive patch and use some gorilla glue to stick the brace to the drywall square. That took out about an eighth of an inch.
