It can catch one gopher at a time and requires no winding, batteries or maintenance. To deploy find the gopher tunnel in the yard and dig out the center of the mound. Place the trap opening in line with the gopher tunnel. Place a few handfuls of dirt inside the trap. Set the spring by pushing the bar down until it latches and then mound dirt around the outside of the trap for stability. Make sure to leave the small opening end of the trap uncovered. Since gophers like darkness they will attempt to stuff dirt inside the trap to eliminate the light. As it pushes dirt into the trap the mechanism will spring and it will eliminate the gopher. Rugged plastic and weather resistant construction means this trap can be used over and over again for years of repeat use. Trap is non toxic and requires no poison, baits, or harmful chemicals. Trap color is black. Overall trap dimensions are 6. 63" x 3. 43" x 6. 63". Includes one trap.

Then I went to my tried and true method which was to dig a whole big enough to put the trap in, make sure it has dirt covering the floor, maybe a bit of the grass the gopher likes to eat sticking through the hole at the end, and then cover the hole completely. (I use a board, piece of slate, etc., so no light gets in). Since I have been doing this I have gotten 4 gophers in a row! Now removing them is not easy. Put on some gloves, get a stick and eventually you will get the gopher free of the trap. I live on a hillside, so I just toss them onto the ground where turkey vultures or ravens enjoy my work.

**Q: Is there any warranty on these traps?**
A: I thru the box away, don’t know, but they are pretty indestructible, I set the trap at dusk and that night a dog or possum smelled the dead gopher and chewed the crud out of the trap to get the gopher, it has bite marks all over it , but works fine.

**Q: has anyone had any luck with moles using this trap? since it pops up as a "mole trap" when searching amazon**
A: I have this trap and a very similar one from Gonzo. So far, the mole goes around the traps. Moles are very sensitive, I am skeptical if these will work at all. I will keep experimenting.
I had success with worm shaped baits, but these are highly poisonous to your dog or cat if they dig them out !

This trap works very well. The first few times I tried it I left the hole open to the sun as it suggests. This did not work for me. The gophers just back filled the trap. Then I went to my tried and true method which was to dig a whole big enough to put the trap in, make sure it has dirt covering the floor, maybe a bit of the grass the gopher likes to eat sticking through the hole at the end, and then cover the hole completely. (I use a board, piece of slate, etc., so no light gets in). Since I have been doing this I have gotten 4 gophers in a row! Now removing them is not easy. Put on some gloves, get a stick and eventually you will get the gopher free of the trap. I live on a hillside, so I just toss them onto the ground where turkey vultures or ravens enjoy my work.

I really had high hopes for this product. I have a very similar one that works beautifully. I bought this one because it looked like it would be much easier to set. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gopher trap.

Have used these for years. They really work great. Use 2 at one time. Use them back to back. Each one facing opposite ends of their tunnel. Use a carrot or apple as bait. Cover with a black plastic trash bag to make their area dark. Cover all edges with soil to weight plastic down. Say a little prayer and leave alone for a couple of days before you peek. 9 times out of 10 you will be lucky. Show no mercy they deserve their fate.
