It felt like a shot in the dark based off of the reviews, but I wonder if some of it has to do with how the users went about replacing the old screen. There are several small screws and at any point in the process it would be very easy to accidentally knock off a small diode from a circuit. I found the packaged screw drivers to work perfectly for all of the tiny screws except for the two flat head screws holding the main board in.The screen that I got is crystal clear and bright. It certainly was much better than the broken screen but that goes without saying. There were some small and not very noticeable scuff marks on the outer plastic rim of the screen. It's not something you would notice unless you're holding it right in front of your eyes. I'm not worried about it. It's an older phone and this new screen for such a cheap price will make it last that much longer.If you're still reading, the only thing left that I can add is to watch some videos on youtube before you set out on this adventure. There are a ton of things that you will be taking apart. You will want a clean surface and no distractions / wind so you can set all the tiny screws out in an order that you will remember exactly where they all go. While the toolkit is lacking (mostly in that I needed a 4.8 mm flathead to help remove the logic board, a spudger with a narrower tip, and tweezers), I had a Pro Tech Toolkit I had gotten via iFixit earlier so I was able to finish the repair without issue. Overall, I was able to replace my phone's display assembly successfully using the guides available via iCracked (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fujLMaxJsw) and iFixit (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone+4S+Display+Assembly+Replacement/7277).After installation, touch screen was responsive and front camera wasn't blurred or anything.
