My one complaint about this….and nearly every other phono preamp on the market is the lack of an on/off button…most of us buy these because modern day receivers/amps don't have built in phono preamps any more….when most don't have switched outlets anymore either! Someone needs to take note of this…it does make a nice night light though! As most of you know, manufacturers have eliminated the MC/MM preamplifiers in modern receivers for phono outputs. In this case, the signal was so strong coming out of the NAD Preamplifier that it badly distorted any music I played on my turntable. I tried switching between the MC position and the MM position on the back of the preamplifier, but it didn't make any difference in the distortion. Other models are available with variable output controls for far less $$.
