A really great hat, beautifully made with a feel and look of high quality. Equivalent quality I've seen elsewhere is £50-£90.The shape is flattering, unlike some where the brim is too large and doesn't balance, making the hat look comical.I can't believe the price has remained the same.We bought another for a friend who's delighted as he'd been searching everywhere and not found one that does make him look ridiculous!It arrived in a box the exact size of the hat, with a protector for the crown. The hat is made of cotton with breathing holes in the body with a leather trim. My hat measurement is 59cm and it fits comfortably with space inside the crown to add pads if you want a firmer fit.This hat can take some punishment and finds its shape quite easily, very impressed with how robust it is. It was an excellent sun hat in Tunisia I'm sure it will keep the water off in an English summer! My husband has quite a large head and he doesn't think caps or bucket hats fit or suit him. He did have a trilby in the past which he liked but bar wearing on to the plane it eventually got misshapen when we decided to check it in with the luggage. Also we considered the trilby to have a small peak so therefore less shade. It was a toss between getting a panama hat or this one and we chose this after reading the positive reviews. Following measuring according to the guide we ordered an XL. It arrived over the weekend and fits perfectly. My husband certainly looks very smart and handsome and is very pleased and looking forward to wearing it.
