Product description Add thrilling low-frequency effects to your home cinema experience! The Dayton Audio SUB series-powered subwoofer systems are the perfect addition to any home theater system. These powered subs feature a bottom-firing, flared port, bass-reflex design for reduced port noise and increased bass response. They also utilize a long-throw woofer to produce house-shaking power. The amplifier features high and low-level inputs and high-level outputs, a phase switch, independent volume control, an auto on/off switch (activated by an input signal) and a variable 12 dB electronic low pass filter. These compact subs are finished in an unobtrusive black vinyl that will complement any decor. Onboard connectivity makes this an easy-to-add and easy-to-adjust solution 1. Line Level Inputs The line level inputs are used to connect pre-put or preamplifier outputs directly to the subwoofer amplifier's internal crossover. These inputs are summed to mono. This is the preferred way to connect the subwoofer amplifier. If you have a mono line level signal from a "Pro-Logic" or "Dolby Digital" receiver use the right "red" input. Note: If a LFE mono output is connected, set the crossover point to maximum. 2. High Level Inputs If preamplifier outputs are not available, use the high-level (speaker) inputs. The speaker level inputs can be connected directly to the amplifier by inserting the speaker wire. 3. High Level Outputs There are also high level outputs which can be used to connect to main speakers or to another powered subwoofer with high level inputs. Note: High level outputs are paralleled to the high level inputs with no high pass filter. 4. Crossover Frequency Control Continuously variable from 40 Hz at 12 dB/octave. Set the frequency control to where the audio does not sound "muddy", normally between 60-80 Hz. Note: If a LFE mono output is connected set the crossover point to maximum. 5. Gain Control Adjusts the output level of the subwoofer. Set the level to where the bass frequencies blend with the other speakers. Note: Most people have a tendency to set the level too high, which makes the audio sound "boomy". 6. Phase Switch Selectable between 0° and 180°. This assists subwoofer placement. The correct position will be the one that provides the most apparent bass output. 7. Power Switch (Auto On/Off) When the power is in the auto position, the amplifier will automatically turn on when a signal is present. Note: In auto/off mode, the power on LED is always on (red), even when amp is in rest mode (off). The power LED will turn green when the unit is activated. Review: Lots of value here. - Have been auditioning this subwoofer for a couple of days. It rocks! As always with subwoofers it takes some time to dial it in right. I have speakers that go down to 48hz. Setting the crossover at 60hz it’s about right to blend the deep bass with the speakers. The thing I’m impressed with is the quality of this speaker. Everything works as it should. I’m using high level inputs/outputs from the amp and speakers and running a deep bass YouTube channel to tune it more. Bravo!

I researched online for an affordable unit to get even more bass to my Zbox SB500 sound bar so i decided to research a subwofer and found the Dayton Audio SUB-800 8-Inch 80 Watt Powered for $99.95 so i added it. Once hooked it to the TV headphone with the wire that came from the soundbar, set Gain and Crossover at 3/4 you won't believe these two units combined how great music or movie listening experience you get, very satisfied and at 3/4 of Sono's price. Pro: sound. Cons: does not come with a Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Audio Stereo Cable. No remote control that you can use. As for the Zbox SB500 sound bar I was amazed by the quality of the sound. The price so much affordable than the Sono's option, so i decided to give it a try. Once at home I installed it on top of the TV and the sound is incredible. Volume TV at 8, and Blue Ray or Netflix at 11. The bass is incredible. For best sound quality I set up accuvoice at sd3, output leveling at noOL, bass 3. Treble HI 2, surround to sd 3. Sound is Crystal clear, bass is outstanding, beyond expectations. 3D sound is a plus, can hear sounds with this bar I did not hear with my previous sound system when watching the same movies You wont be dissapointed. You yube videos is like being at the concert. Try these units, and watch movies in Netflix. Sound is Great! Your living Room will never be the same!

Have been auditioning this subwoofer for a couple of days. It rocks! As always with subwoofers it takes some time to dial it in right. I have speakers that go down to 48hz. Setting the crossover at 60hz it’s about right to blend the deep bass with the speakers. The thing I’m impressed with is the quality of this speaker. Everything works as it should. I’m using high level inputs/outputs from the amp and speakers and running a deep bass YouTube channel to tune it more. Bravo!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good 8" for small home Pub System

I have used Dayton speakers before, so I really didn't have any concerns. I knew I would get a good product at a good price point, and it doesn't disappoint. It is an 8 inch powered sub, not a 15". It is probably not for EDM parties cranked. But it is just what I wanted for bass fill in my home Pub, paired with 4 Klipsch R-51M Bookshelf Speakers and Yamaha A-S301 amplifier. Fills the whole basement with great sounding music, and the Sub fills in behind the R-51M's just right. It has a surprising amount of good clear bass. The connections on the back provide for about any option you would need and feeding it with my WiiM Ultra is just enjoyable. Happy with my purchase.
