All axes are play-free and have adjustable slides. The headstock, made of die-cast aluminum, houses the 24 pole balanced special motor and provides stability even at high operating speeds. Six triple slit, hardened MICROMOT steel collets come with the machine and cover shank sizes of 1/32", 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 7/64" and 1/8" (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.35, 3.0, 3.2mm). The table is fitted with three T-slots of the 15/32" x 15/64" x 13/64" (12 x 6 x 5mm) MICROMOT-norm. An adjustable ruler scale eases the positioning of the work piece. Review: Honestly fantastic in a pinch. - Honestly this was perfect for what I needed it for. I was modifying a set of sun glasses and I needed to cut a hole in the camera lens for retrofit. Very precise, practically no perceived wobbling. The chuck and arbor were perfect complements to one another for precision milling. I did have to purchase a specialized fractal vise clamp to fit inside the clamps, some more headroom would've been great since the original clamp wasn't very good at holding a component of irregular shape. Otherwise this mill worked great for what I needed it for!

But this machine is sturdy, stable and reliable. I've used it to machine stainless steel, brass and Delrin so far, in our prototyping lab. It's a great value. Picture below is a concept controller I made using this. I machined the cord grip hole and radius in the 1/8" stainless bar with this bar, and hollowed out the Delrin rod for the switches and electronics.

**Q: Would this machine be adequate for milling AR-15 lower receivers?**
A: LOL I love that just about every mini milling machine on amazon, this is the first question asked

**Q: Is this a Chinese made machine?  Another website says it is from Luxembourg.**
A: Luxemburg. Per the Proxxon website

**Q: Does the MF70 ship from Amazon with clamps to hold the work to the table?**
A: I really don't remember if the clamps came with it or not. It did come with the complete set of collets and wrenches. I have 2 sets of clamps so maybe one set came with it, I know I had to buy the little milling vise, and a drill chuck. Everything for this machine is pretty expensive but first quality.  I have a bigger milling machine now, and I will be selling my MF70, but only because it was too small for the bigger steam engines I am building.

**Q: Is it programmable?**
A: No, you would need to modify it by adding CNBC to it. But as it comes s not programmable

Honestly this was perfect for what I needed it for. I was modifying a set of sun glasses and I needed to cut a hole in the camera lens for retrofit. Very precise, practically no perceived wobbling. The chuck and arbor were perfect complements to one another for precision milling. I did have to purchase a specialized fractal vise clamp to fit inside the clamps, some more headroom would've been great since the original clamp wasn't very good at holding a component of irregular shape. Otherwise this mill worked great for what I needed it for!

Great Mini Mill. You aren't going to machine an engine block with this, there is very limited height adjustment. But this machine is sturdy, stable and reliable. This is a fine entry level machine, a good value, designed for light work. It met those expectations and has fulfilled my needs mostly. It reliably chews out material but at a slow pace because it is a small machine. It is made in Europe, not Asia, which is a big plus to me. One might expect high precision in a small machine but that is a bit unrealistic given the price point. My only criticism of the function is the play in the table is a bit excessive, but that likely could be adjusted. It doesn’t appear to be slop in the manufacturing; I have just been too lazy to attempt to tighten the table and haven’t needed that precision for the work I have done to this point.
