The material appears to reflect up to date mathcounts competition and will benefit to anyone who want to improve mathcounts skill. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not what I expected and more suitable for 7th and 8th grades. *by K***M on May 1, 2017* I am a homeschooling mother who purchased this book to give my son additional problems that aren't available in MathUSee and to stretch his thinking. He will be taking pre-Algebra as a 7th grader. I am currently in the first chapter, which involves different base systems. Some of the problems given in the base number system involve quadratic equations and higher levels of probability than he is used to doing. My son is good in math, but not that advanced. The solutions to the problem are not ALWAYS explained in detail. As a homeschooling parent, you should have a very strong background in math to follow it at times. I have also found errors in the book. In addition, this is NOT what I was desiring for my son.
