It still works as good as ever! Also, I was shocked to see it was $19.99 back in 2012, now it's $15.55. How amazing is that? I came to buy another because we just added another sliding back door for access for our back yard, and I want a boot scraper at that door. I have used my current one many many times over the years, scraping off mud, muck, pine needles, leaves, and doggy "big business". It works really well, and cleans off everything. I live in Seattle with lots of rain, and yet, the coir bristles still do a great job and doesn't seem affected by the weather of 15 years. Here's a picture of it tonight, in the dark, and in the rain.

**Q: Does this boot scraper need to be "nailed" down - it looks like it would slide around when using it?**
A: No.  The benefit of this one is that it doesn't need to be permanently affixed.  To keep it from sliding around. you just stand on one side with one foot to hold it in place, while brushing off dirt with the other, and then switch.

**Q: How does it do with pine needles and leaves?  That's mostly what gets tracked into the house.**
A: Well....since we live in the high desert and use ours to get the dirt, cactus spines & little rocks out of our shoes, leaves & pine needles are not what we usually need to get off of our shoes... But, we have camped in our travel trailer, in the mountains on occasion, and, since we take one of these with us, it has worked well with the pine needles & leaves.  Seems to be a good little item !

**Q: HAs anyone purchased this product to use for sandy feet? If so what is your experience?**
A: I would like to get something to clean beach sand off of my feet. I looked for baby powder brush, and didn't find anything. Could you be more specific about where I could purchase this?

**Q: The coco fibers look similar to some door mats, where the fibers come off and settle all around the mat. Does that happen to this scraper?**
A: It does wear down, but it takes a long long time.  We had one for years before we needed to replace it thru Amazon.  A few fibers might come off, but it's nothing like those mats that youre talking about.  It works well, so we always pack it up in our trailer when we go camping & use it then too.

Here it is 2026, and I bought this boot scraper in 2012! I am really surprised, because I didn't realize how old mine was. It still works as good as ever! Great product. Gets the mud and dirt off shoes. It's a bit messy underneath so I recommend a boot tray or something to place them in especially if it is stored inside.
