### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the best hip-hop albums of all time.

*by J***S on August 8, 2015*

This album is brilliant. I've been primarily a metalhead for the past 15 years. I don't like much hip-hop. However, once hearing Aesop Rock I've been unable to stop listening. The beats, flow, and progressive, non-repetitive style of these songs make sure the album never gets boring, even after dozens of listens. Honestly, Aes' lyricism has ruined a lot of other music for me. Nothing, in any genre, comes close to touching it. Jam packed with multiple-syllable rhymes and complex writing, any two or three of the songs combined from this album have more lyrical content (and *clever* content at that) than some entire pop or metal albums. Despite how long ago this album was released it remains relevant to this day. Truly an ageless masterpiece.

    Aesop's masterpiece

*by H***. on March 13, 2017*

After years of experiencing Aes, nothing else quite does it for me like Float. Wasn't crazy about it when I first got into him, but after coming back to it I've realized it's one of my favorites of all time, for any artist. Just a few of my fave tracks: Oxygen, Drawbridge, Spare a Match, Fascination, Prosperity, Basic Cable, No Splash, and How to be a Carpenter.

    More than just a CD

*by K***N on February 23, 2008*

I own about 200 CD's generally related to this sort of music (rap, hip-hop, electronic music, etc.), and some are so-so, some are good, some are great, and a rare few are so good, have so much content, that they seem to go so far beyond a mere `album'. This is one of them.At 70 minutes, they used about all the space they could have - and more importantly, there is no filler. Every single song on here (less a few `transition' tracks) is a full, real, song that you will want to listen to over and over. Only had this CD a few days and have listened to it about a dozen times, and I get irritated when I am away from it. It's that good. The lyrics are stunning (you feel smarter for listening to it, we are not talking about milkshakes and Escalades on 30's here!), the music is generally restrained, well-done, and enjoyable to listen to. Tracks that stand out to me are 4, 7, 9, and 15. Not that the others are bad, but these are just unreal. For the last 6 months, I have not added a new CD to my collection that really got me excited. I am glad this one showed up. And please don't download this thing off a torrent; buy it so we are not stuck with Top 40 trash for the rest of our lives.
