The complete solution to easily remove broken studs or screws This set contains Five HSS Steam Tin - 2.5 mm diameter for M3 to M6 screws. - 3.2 mm diameter for screws from M6 to M8 - Diameter 4.8 mm for screws from M8 to M11. - 6.5 mm diameter for screws from M11 to M14. - Diameter 8 mm for screws from M14 to M18. Five broken stud or screw extractors - N1 for use with a 2.5 mm diameter drill bit. - N2 for use with a diameter of 3.2 mm drill bit. - N3 for use with a 4.8mm diameter drill bit. - N4 for use with a drill bit with a diameter of 6.5 mm. - N5 for use with 8 mm diameter drill bit. Instruction manual 1) With the drill bit suitable for the size of the screw or studs, drill a hole in the centre of the threaded rod to be extracted, with a depth of equal to half the diameter. 2) Then position the appropriate size extractor in the hole and turn very slowly in the direction of unscrewing with strong pressure. 3) The extractor bites into the material and allows you to extract the threaded rod by gradually unscrewing it. A bolt snapped off my brake lever on my motorbike and needed to extract the bolt. I used a centre hole punch to mark the centre of the bolt then used the small drill bit to create a pilot hole for the large drill bit. Tapped the spiral extractor tool gently with a hammer annd then used a spanner to remove the bolt. The extractor tool gripped the broken bolt well. Problem solved. Plus comes in a good quality box so can be re-used in the future.
