Review: BLACK BEAUTY - A QUIET WORKHORSE - great fan after 6 months of use...no issues....quiet white noise on low, leave it on this setting all the time. makes decent white noise on medium and high but i have heard a lot worse, no strange whirling or humming. Great breeze from it, good power on high, the little feet help when attached help with stability but placing a weight or something heavy will help from it sliding around too much from the power. All in all a great box fan, plus its black...looks amazing. Slight problem in shipping, one of the plastic feet broke, not much to be done, just super glued it back on and its working fine. Really satisfied, helping me get some good air in my apt when the A/C air isn't on, very nice!

A: it doesn't unless your holding it while moving back and forth

**Q: Does any Lasko fan noisy when the dial goes up?**
A: It is not a quiet fan, it is about average for this type.  I prefer it to be a bit noisy, because I use it to cover sounds that keep me awake.  It's not more noisy than other box fans, but if you want a very quiet fan, you should find a different one.

A: Yes! But turn it all the way up.i got rid of it when I moved but have a Honeywell air purifier now 50250 that's kinda too expensive but is super loud lol.it actually is little too loud for me sometimes.but yea the fan is loud.

Work well as an affordable box fan, decent airflow and not too loud. However the box fan is very unstable when not using the feet which are not well shown in listing photos. I wish there was somewhere on the fan to store the feet when not in use, especially if you need to put the fan in a window since if you leave them in you can punch a hole in your window screen.
