Helena and Sebastian’s story was quite the emotional roller coaster ride. The things that happened between Helena, Sebastian and Gregory had my emotions all over the place. I was shocked by what Gregory did and what it meant but I guess I’ll find out in the third book.Overall this was a good duet and Helena and Sebastian are one couple I want soon forget. I highly recommend it if you like dark and twisted romance stories. I thought Taken was an off the chart dark read, but Torn completely blew me away. It was full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. Epic is a word I would use for this book. It’s characters Helena and Sebastian took me on a journey that filled my mind with so many different levels of emotions. It feed my need for the dark side of imagination and held me hostage, blocking out anything except the journey it was taking me on. Writing that put my mind in euphoria mode. So stunning that I was completely riveted to every single word. Filled with suspense, hate, danger and sick twisted traditions that were carried out through generations. A compelling story that kept me turning pages without any thought of stopping. I can’t say enough about how awesome this book is. It surpasses even the word stunning. If you are looking for a very dark read then do not pass this book up. It is the second book of the duet, so don’t forget to read Taken first. I promise you will not be disappointed in them.
