It fit my 2018 MacBook Pro perfectly and was very easy to install onto the laptop. The top has a soft feel and the bottom is hard black plastic. All ports - headphone and USB - are open and accessible. (Note: it appears that you cannot attach a dongle without modifying the bottom cover.) I keep my laptop on a cooling pad so I can't comment on the usefulness of the "cooling" slots on the bottom, but I've had no heat issues at all. I'm very pleased with this cover; it looks good, has a good feel, was easy to install, and feels durable, all for a good price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cover works well on 2014 MacBook Pro; some caveats *by M***H on August 13, 2017* Very nice fit on 13" 2014 MacBook Pro. I appreciate the nice wood tone cover with the Apple logo just barely showing behind the "grille" in the center of the top.Pros: + very good fit + nice wood tone with actual raised "grain", many people think this is wood!Cons: - with the lower black plastic on, the MacBook Pro heats up more even with a laptop stand with fan - lower black plastic part of snap on cover does not fit well with either type of MacBook lock I have tried. With a little bit of shaving down plastic the PNY ThinkSafe lock will work. Take care NOT to shave down the parts that clip on the underside of the MacBook! - the top and bottom cover have two or three small plastic fingers which may not last long if either piece is taken on and off a repeatedlyFor the money a great way to protect your MacBook Pro from scratches.
