Mahalo are known for beginners instruments so I gave it a try. I.m really happy with what I got, a lovely little instrument that sounds nice. It comes with good strings, not bargain basement ones (and spares). The tuner works fine, I checked it out with a good tuner app online.So for a woman with small hands or a child I would highly recommend this as a good starter set for the absolute beginner.I would also recommend you splash out on a buttonless strap, it’s a slippery little sucker, if you’re not concentrating holding it you can focus more on learning to play it. Don’t be disheartened by it keep going out of tune, this is normal until the strings stretch and settle, not a fault with the uke.
