I normally wear a size 7 and the medium size of these shoes fit my feet just fine. Even though they weren't loose on my feet, the soles were so stiff that the shoes slipped off my heels when I walked. I put some old insoles into the shoes to try and make them even more snug so they wouldn't slip off. This helped a little bit but now the shoes were quite snug and they still slipped of sometimes. Just to let you know, if you order a large, it is actually a size 9-10( maybe even a wide). I ordered a large, but it didn't say on the page what shoe size it actually was. There was a sticker in the shoes when I received them and it said, size 9-10. Definitely a great product. They look great on stage and don't make a mess.
