Review: Can Sam and the Descendants be able to figure out what happened on the Titanic? - Haunting the Deep by Adriana Mather is another very informative piece of writing on how something terrible happened to a bunch of people. Can Sam and the Descendants be able to figure out what happened on the Titanic? Sam Mather and the Descendants Sam Mather is back again, but this time in the spring. Sadly, the budding friendships I saw in the first book didn't continue right away in this installment, but that changed throughout the book. Sam is a great character, and I hate how she is forced to have to do something when she doesn't want to. She comes even more out of her shell here and can do things that she thinks are great. What I like about Sam is that she is trying to be a normal kid with that not being possible when she sees ghosts. Another thing that I like about her is that she is coming out of her shell and speaking more of her mind. Especially with her dad. The Descendants are back, and they are still great from the first book. Alice is still the boss of the group, Susannah is the second, and with Molly being the last. These three try to talk to Sam after the events, but it doesn't work out that way. That is until they need Sam's help with something. The Descendants are a great group of girls that just need to feel like they belong somewhere. Elijah I know I didn't talk about him in my last review much. Elijah is another character back from the last one. His presence and helpfulness aren't as significant as it was in the previous book. It is great to see him so frustrated sometimes. The Villian The villain is someone that I didn't expect at all. I am awe of the way that Ms. Mather was able not to let slip on who it was until the climax. I fell for all the red herrings but couldn't link them to the ship. Five Stars How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather is another excellent book. Ms. Mather did a great job of bringing her family's history to life for all of us to read. I am intrigued about how she did this book, and I love the whole connection to the Titanic that was themed throughout the book. Sam and the Descendents do get closer, and I love it. I am giving this book five stars and recommending it to anyone that loves a paranormal mystery. Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Haunting the Deep by Adriana Mather. Review: I loved it - If you have seen my reviews then you know I love history. I just read How To Hang A Witch. It was a book about a part of history that I have always been interested in, The Salem Witch Trials. My second favorite historical event has always been the Titanic sinking. I have read books, seen the movies, and researched it. I am no expert, but it is a great interest of mine. So when I saw that this book was about that amazing and tragic event in history, I just had to grab it. Once again, I was not let down. Sam is back, and this time she finds herself in the grip of a new curse. When her school decides the Titanic is a good theme for a dance, she begins to go on a journey of her own. She starts seeing spirits from the great ship. With the help of the Descendants, she fights to stop whatever bad is coming her way. First, she has to figure out what that is. The Titanic was a horrible tragedy. So many stories have been told over the years as to what happened. This story was full of mystery and history. I loved Sam's role in this book, and I loved the more significant role that the Descendants played. Even Elijah is back in his quirky way. This story was a right mix of teen drama, mystery, and history. It gave a right amount of information about the Titanic and its passengers. The story was well written and was an edge of your seat read from beginning to end. One thing I have learned to like about this author is her books are not predictable. It keeps you guessing all the way through to the end. That, in my opinion, is a big plus.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely LOVE this book!
*by D***D on October 26, 2017*

I had to get Haunting The Deep after reading and loving the first book, How to Hang a Witch, and I must say that I'm so happy I did. This is an amazing read! I'm a big lover of books and movies about witchcraft and one of my favorite movies is Titanic. I admit I was a bit nervous how since Titanic is such a big well known movie, how it would affect my reading, but I have to say that Adriana Mather did an awesome job at writing that not once did I think of the movie. I felt captivated and like I was there witnessing with the characters. I enjoyed how the Sam and the girls came together, it made me happy to see some girl power and I loved the, (slight spolier), broom necklace they gave, fully completing their bond, circle and friendship. I really enjoyed the details and history given as I did with the first book, but have to say I loved it more in this book, maybe because I've always had a fascination about the Titanic since I was a kid watching the old black and white Titanic movie with my aunt at her house and then the one we all know now. I enjoyed how it was brought to light how the rank of those who made it off and those who didn't and how many had no choice. I loved this book and Adriana Mather's has now become one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed both her books and can't wait to read what she writes next. This is definitely a must read!
