We use this with the 80mm Lensball without any problem what so ever, it mounts perfectly on tripods and the suction is great, it's obviously not the most sturdy when it's just balanced on the ground with an 80mm glass ball on top of it, but you wouldn't expect it too unless you don't understand basic physics. The people leaving negative feedback because it doesn't support their 100mm ball have bought the wrong product. Buy the right size spurious stand for your spurious 100mm Lensball and you probably won't have the same problem. So if you have a genuine 60 or 80 mm Lensball this is the perfect stand for you. However, that was a shock to me - this thing is tiny ! It doesn't look like it will hold anything too big or heavy, but it grips onto my 80mm lensball no problem - even upside down ! I initially wondered how on earth something so tiny warranted an £18 price tag, but it does the job and takes up no room in your camera bag at least.
