Review: I never knew plastic could last this long - Bought much larger version of this kit online at Costco over 13 years ago (Haven't seen it there since) and I has been one of the best purchases I have ever made sure the 8mm plastic tubing kinda sucks the pressure regulator sucks and tends to rupture your waterlines and will probably fail in a few years or less BUT THE WATERING CARROT looking things have been in the sun for over 13 years no signs of issues I just take them in and clean them every 2 or 3 years and they work great but you got to ditch the pressure regulator for a gravity bucket (paint it or the sun will destroy it quick) slap a toilet fill valve in it and and replace the 8mil plastic tubing with 8mil silicon tubing of the same brand and you will have a setup that will last years although this set is way over priced get one without that pressure regulator or buy one with their bucket (I made my own with 1/2" drip tubing and some funky transition to 8mil somewhere) 5+ stars on the watering carrots themselves
Review: pressure reducer needs replacement after 6 years - It's been fairly maintenance free, and I like having a system that doesn't require batteries or a timer. I usually have to check it after the first rain of the season, after which sometimes one of the sensors will come loose from their tubing, causing a stream of water to be wasted. The latest issue is the pressure reducer, which appears to have sprung a leak, and can only handle maybe 1PSI before leaking out through a hole in the side. I'm happy enough with my blumat, that i'm ordering a replacement pressure reducer.
