Tired of heavy sediment clogging the screen on your washing machine? Order the INLINE-WATER-FILTERS-85470 today. Review: Works great for my washer - I ordered these like three times and I always keep a spare for back up. We have well water and we had to use this with our system in order to keep the debris and dirt out and keep it from clogging in the hose. Definitely recommend if it will work with your system. It’s as described inexpensive and delivery was expedited. Review: Works well - great service when I had an issue - I purchased the filter and replacement elements. The original filter leaked at the seam. Contacted Inline through the website and received an immediate response. They sent a new filter and that one worked fine. The first one was missing an o-ring. I have this connected to a washing machine and it works well and should keep sediment from going through the cold water valve and damaging it. ## Features - Removes sediment before it makes it to your washing machine. Replacement cartridges (#84470) also available that change out quickly and easily. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0013TM4KQ | | Best Sellers Rank | #122,247 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #815 in In-Refrigerator Water Filters | | Brand | Inline Water Filters | | Brand Name | Inline Water Filters | | Compatible Refrigerator Models | LG LFXS28968S, LG LMXC22626S | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 664 Reviews | | External Testing Certification | NSF | | Included Components | Housing and filter ready to install | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 2.12"D x 6.62"W x 7"H | | Item Weight | 3.04 ounces | | Manufacture Year | 2006 | | Manufacturer | Inline Water filters | | Manufacturer Part Number | B0013TM4KQ | | Material | Celanese Acetal copolymer | | Material Type | Celanese Acetal copolymer | | Model Number | 85470 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Benefits | Removes sediment, helps maintain the life of your washing machine. | | Product Dimensions | 2.12"D x 6.62"W x 7"H | | UPC | 807032971380 716808996161 808112759201 886566101951 163120787838 852698001858 809188528081 806294983094 132017512006 700999873899 809390002072 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **External Testing Certification:** NSF - **Item Weight:** 3.04 ounces - **Material:** Celanese Acetal copolymer - **Product Benefits:** Removes sediment, helps maintain the life of your washing machine. - **Product Dimensions:** 2.12"D x 6.62"W x 7"H ## Images ![85470 Washing Machine Inline Water filter/USA MADE/Tested and approved by Handy Man Magazine. - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cbyuQlroL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: can use this product with water hot?** A: The washing machine sediment filter attaches directly to the washing machine water faucets for either hot or cold intake. The Maximum Temperature is 320 degrees Fahrenheit or 160 degrees Celsius.(from Washing Machine Inline Water Filter 85470 Specs) **Q: Would this work on a dish washer? Has anyone tried?** A: I used them on my washing machine for a week and replaced them with heavy duty water filters from Pure Water Products. The latter will probably work on a dish washer. **Q: do i need it on hot and cold?** A: I am not a plumber- however I only put one on our cold. Our hot water line goes through a heater that has a separate screen filter before it goes into the heat exchanger.I would think the best way to tell if you need one on your hot water line would be to check the screen on the washer. If your hot water input has sediment, then yes. Otherwise I would think you would only need one on the cold. **Q: Which accessories are required to protect washing machine from heavy irony water ?** A: Don't buy these. #1 they aren't meant for that and #2 they suck. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great for my washer *by J***R on December 19, 2025* I ordered these like three times and I always keep a spare for back up. We have well water and we had to use this with our system in order to keep the debris and dirt out and keep it from clogging in the hose. Definitely recommend if it will work with your system. It’s as described inexpensive and delivery was expedited. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well - great service when I had an issue *by F***2 on February 23, 2022* I purchased the filter and replacement elements. The original filter leaked at the seam. Contacted Inline through the website and received an immediate response. They sent a new filter and that one worked fine. The first one was missing an o-ring. I have this connected to a washing machine and it works well and should keep sediment from going through the cold water valve and damaging it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great device *by M***N on April 14, 2014* This device is very well engineered. Once in place, it is quite robust. Some fault the plastic (nylon) threads. As is always the case with such threads, you must take great care that you have not cross threaded the connection, but once a good connection is made, it is quite substantial The cartridge of this filter filter features a fine screen filter which by itself will probably satisfy my needs plus another filter consisting of a half dozen or so layers of cloth filters. What I needed was a filter that would catch particles coming through and stopping up the screen filters in my washing machine. The screen filter in this cartridge is probably fine enough for that. In my well system there is apparently some very fine material coming through that stops up the cloth filter within 2 or 3 weeks. For me that super fine filtration is not necessary, but I can see that it might be needed in other situations. To this point, when the cloth filter stops up, I remove the screen filter, use a dentists tooth scraper tool to remove the cloth filter, remove the one or two stopped up layers of cloth and replace the remaining layers and screen and put it back on the machine. I would have given this a five-stare rating were it not for its ridiculously high price of the replacement filter. Other that that one caveat, I give my highest recommendation for this device.. Update 7/20/14. The cloth filters in this device were clogging too frequently so I removed them, relying solely on the fine screen type filter mentioned earlier. That was 2 or 3 months ago and all seems to be going well with this arrangement. ## Frequently Bought Together - 85470 Washing Machine Inline Water filter/USA MADE/Tested and approved by Handy Man Magazine. - Inline Water Filters 84470 Washing Machine Replacement Filter (2-Pack) - Danco, Inc. 80070 Hose Washers with Screen, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/1401413-85470-washing-machine-inline-water-filter-usa-made-tested-approved](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/1401413-85470-washing-machine-inline-water-filter-usa-made-tested-approved) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
