Review: Worked for my MacBook Air (late 2010) - I upgraded the SSD in my MacBook Air and used this to make the old SSD into an external drive. Works excellent. I was able to hook it up to my MacBook after installing a different hard drive and was able to use migration assistant to transfer files without issue!

If you need the data off of your 2010-2011 Macbook SSD then this device is a life saver. The main board on my 2011 macbook died so the only way to get the data back was to use this device. I purchased a new macbook, plugged the SSD into this SATA adapter device, inserted it into the new macbook USB port and I was back in business. The Macbook actually saw the SSD and figured it was from an old system. It asked if I wanted to migrate my data to the new Macbook, I said yes and then sat back and watched the transfer.
