Over the years I have tried a number of similar products (including one-spot), and have had to buy (and subsequently lose!) lots of individual power supply units for pedals. The Power 2 Plus sounds way better than individual PSUs and one-spot style IMO. Greatly reduces noise, which is huge for me. It's small and well built, with mountings available for various pedal boards. It's easier to plug in to the outlet (PC style power cable). And with fewer parts, you're less likely to misplace stuff at the gig. That said, probably some kind of board or carrying apparatus should still be used. 10/10 for me. I have 2 tc electronics pedals that require 12v, and this has 4 outs that can be switched to either 9 or 12. Also has a sag feature on 2 other outs, to give a sputter effect for fuzzes & distortions. I think the other 2 outs can be combined for other voltages, for line 6 type pedals or whatever, I don't need that, but it's a great feature with all of the different pedal requirements. Also has an extra plug to power another power supply or anything else. Or a Visual Sound one plug that connects all the chained effects?** A: This is very similar to just plugging all your pedals into a power strip. That assumes you have AC adapters for each pedal. Most pedals don't come with one and some are $20 or so. I actually have a bunch of AC adapters, but this is much more convenient. It's even nicer if you use one of these with a pedal board such as the Pedaltrain which has brackets to mount this power supply. As far as a daisy chain kind of thing like the Boss or Visual Sound that lets you connect multiple pedals, those are fine up to a point. I have the Boss daisy chain and I noticed that if I connect it to my wah wah pedal, I get a loud hum when I use the pedal. It just doesn't get enough power to the pedal. So I would use the daisy chain but then plug the wah wah pedal in using an AC adapter. The voodoo is just neater and more convenient. Each output is isolated so it's not just a daisy chain. Each pedal gets its own power individually. It can still be used with a daisy chain like the Visual Sound or Boss if you have more than 8 pedals. But again, if you have AC adapters for all your pedals and a power strip, that works too. **Q: When iconect my effects to a daisy chain i get so much noise and even radio stations with overdrive, does this item fix that?** A: You use this instead of a daisy chain, to isolate the power to each pedal so it doesn't replicate any problems between pedals. It should help a lot, just use the individual power supplies they give you and don't use the chain at all anymore - that will defeat the purpose. It's also awesome because it powers pretty much any pedal you buy, 9v, 12v, 18v - individually. **Q: Can this power pedals that need 500ma, 1300ma, or 2000ma? That's what my pedals need. If not this is useless to me.** A: If you are talking about total draw of all pedals, yes, but if you have a pedal that needs those current draws, then no. What pedal needs 2000ma? I don't know of any multiple output power supply that will put out that much current. Even multi-effects pedals don't need that much that I know of. It does full isolation and made my pedals sound better and reduced background noise. **Q: Will it work on my Line 6 - DL4?** A: Yes. There are specific ports (Ports 5 and 6) that can be set up using dip switches on the PP2+ that will power your DL4 with no issues. Only ports 5 and 6 will work, and you must set the dip switches to the "on" position, but it will work. I run EHX Deluxe Memory Man TT 550 (which has higher current draw) at output 5. Each output is ground isolated, which is great because I use Voodoo Labs voltage doubler cables (order online) to combine two outputs and get 18V for a couple of my pedals. Refer to the manual's output chart, and you'll see that between the dip switches, various configurations of the outputs (including different amperages and a sag voltage setting for some vintage sounds on outputs 7-8), and the use of voltage and current doubling cables, you can get a ton of functionality out of this thing.
