While attempting to hold within one set of covers voluminous information on Linux generally and on Linux servers in particular, it has, as a pregnancy in its most advanced stages, become uncomfortably large. What needs to happen is an editorial rebirth as two separate, but related, volumes. Fraternal twins, so to speak. The Linux User Bible would start with Parts I to III, the user-related security materials, and introductory networking information. The Linux Server Bible would start with Part IV, and include server security and advanced networking information. Both parts should be expanded with more depth and detail, allowing, for example, more specialized applications coverage.
