After doing some research online, it was revealed that they are a well known fashion "secret" and even celebrities wear them. Thus, I admit, I'm influenced by people who can afford whatever they want and choose Gizeh Birkenstocks. I ordered the silver first. Amazon had the best price of anywhere. I got free shipping, too. They arrived in about 2-3 days. Super quick. They are beautiful and look great. Their comfort cannot be over emphasized. They are the best fit of any shoe I have in my shoe closet. I look forward to years and years of use as they can be re-soled. Buying these sandals is money well spent. Those still even seem like they might have a little extra room in the heel and toe areas, but I don't mind having that extra room and the width is still good. I've only had them for a few weeks, but they are already wonderful.I was initially not sure about the Birko-Flor (leather-like material) as I was afraid it wouldn't wear as well comfort-wise as leather, but it's great.
