It took about 2 weeks to break in. I honestly thought there was something wrong with it. It wouldn’t open or it would open but there would still be vinegar in it. I started putting it in on top of the clothes, upside down, and it opens every time now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple Product That Still Works Great *by on Reviewed in the United States September 24, 2026* I’ve always liked the Downy Ball because it’s one of those simple products that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I just fill it with the amount of fabric softener I want, close it, toss it into the washer, and let it do its job. There’s no need to wait around for the rinse cycle to add the softener manually. It’s especially useful if you have a washing machine that doesn’t have a built-in fabric softener dispenser. The ball releases the softener during the rinse cycle, and I’ve had good results with my clothes coming out soft and smelling fresh. It’s also reusable, easy to rinse out, and doesn’t take up much space in the laundry room. There really isn’t much to it, but that’s part of what makes it so convenient.Overall, the Downy Ball is inexpensive, easy to use, and reliable. Sometimes the older, simple solutions still work perfectly, and this is definitely one of them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great product at a great price! *by on Reviewed in the United States October 10, 2026* I love the Downy Ball Dispenser. Had one for many years and it finally wore out and I never found them at any of the local stores. Leave it up to Amazon to have what you need! They last a long time, and work very well in the washing machine. You load up at the beginning of the wash and it does the rest for you. Easy to use, don't hear it in banging in the machine, and no reside to clean up like with one on the machine itself. ## Frequently Bought Together - Downy Fabric Softener Dispenser Ball, -3 pk - Downy Fabric Softener Liquid, April Fresh Scent, 140 fl oz, 190 Loads, HE Compatible, Downy Fabric Softener, Liquid Fabric Softener, Laundry - KTCEFE Laundry Detergent Cup Holder, Detergent Drip Catcher, Fabric Softener Liquid Tray Dispenser Organizer Drip Catcher, Laundry Accessories, Keep Laundry Room Tidy (2 Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/14388931-fabric-softener-dispenser-ball-3-pk](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/14388931-fabric-softener-dispenser-ball-3-pk) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
