TYVM! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Record *by T***A on January 21, 2026* Record for my nieces birthday and om goodness she absolutely loved it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maybe Korn's most solid album as a whole *by S***W on May 17, 2011* The first Korn album I bought was "Follow the Leader" and it felt disjointed, like it was a collection of songs. I liked maybe 7 or 8 tracks total on it. With "Issues", it was an entirely different story; this album actually flowed and I think in part because it feels more focused. Jonathan Davis wasn't just confused, upset, and angry about his problems on this album, it seemed like he had gained perspective on them and he was almost using the music this time as a way of therapy to deal with his problems and not feel smothered by them anymore. Anyway, as far as the music goes, it's more melodic than most Korn I've heard. I'll rate the songs individually: 1.Dead 4/5- This is the opening interlude and it's brief but it fits and sounds good. All of the interludes on this album are good. 2.Falling Away From Me 5/5- This song is a slam dunk, can't say anything bad about it. 3.Trash 5/5- I didn't expect this song to be as good as it was, it wasn't perfect but I can't find anything wrong with it. 4. 4-U 4/5- Again, an interlude but it sounds good and fits nicely. 5.Beg for Me 3/5- This song picked up towards the end but didn't do it for me as much. 6. Make Me Bad 5/5- One of the best songs on the record, one of the band's best. 7. It's gonna go away 4/5- Another fitting interlude. 8. Wake Up 5/5- This was about the band having trouble getting along, the song that came from their troubles is bold and powerful. 9. Am I Crazy 4/5- An interlude that continues to thread things together. 10. Hey Daddy 4/5- This song's verses are great but I thought the chorus didn't fit well 11. Somebody,Someone 5/5- Great song, melodic and heavy blended together and it works 12. No Way 5/5- Another great song with passionate lyrics and melody. 13. Let's get the Party Started 5/5- This song has intense lyrics and great song structure, it's about frustration, the title is misleading. 14. Wish you Could be Me 3/5- Jonathan reads poetry and it has a backbeat to it but it never goes into hip-hop territory, I felt it didn't fit the flow of the record. 15. Counting 3/5- I don't particularly care for this song, the lyrics are good but I'd consider this B side material at best. 16. Dirty 5/5- This is the closer and it brings the melody and the heaviness strongly and succeeds and I like how it ends in static noise. So there you go, this isn't the perfect album but I think it's one of Korn's best. They may be put down nowadays by some cynical critics, but recognize good music when you come across it regardless of what people say. If you're a Korn fan or just like Rock or alt/rock or whatever, I recommend you buy this.
