They aren't as good as Smashbox in my experience, but they have surpassed my many MAC shadows for saturation and endurance. (I hate to say that, MAC shadows cost many times what you can get NYX for....it shouldn't be that way but it is what it is)This Green Tea is an herbal sage color with glitter background--but it's not glittery. Normally I apply the NYX's wet, since I need 10 hours of wear (at least). I can't reapply makeup at work, and besides who wants to be one of those folks who stands in front of the mirror all day? I'm a put it on and forget it kind of girl, as much as possible. When a product doesn't meet that goal, it's disappointing.The first time I wore this, I applied it wet with my Real Techniques brush and just packed it on the lid per usual. I forgot to put on primer.......oops. So by midday I had a slight wash of sage left on my eyes, but a lot of glitter left behind. INTERESTINGLY enough, the glitter did not fall onto my cheeks or into my eyes!! This is pretty unusual for a shadow of this composition. Props to NYX for that. I found that using a MAC Paint Pot (I used Painterly but try this with other colors like Bare Study, Groundwork, or Ruebenesque!!) as a primer made this stick pretty well, though none of my usual techniques made a very obvious opaque application, no matter how hard I tried. Consider this one more of a genteel mid-shimmer, you could wear this during the day. It has glitter but you really don't notice it that much as long as the color is still on your lids.*Hint: If you don't want to fork out $18.50 each for MAC Paint Pots (and I'd only order directly from MAC to make sure it's not a fake), try the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils as a base. I would say they work about 75% as well as the MAC Paint Pots. But on sale you can expect to pay about $2.50 each for the pencils so they are worth a try. Please understand that my estimates and opinions are based on the fact that makeup goes on my face at about 7 am and doesn't come off until 10 pm or later, so you may be perfectly happy with how the products work on you for a shorter time period. If I were going out and only needed this to be snappy for a couple of hours, I would give this color a better review. It did look pretty for a few hours. I will still use it, but won't rely on it as a primary look.UPDATE: I stopped using the MAC Paint Pots and went back to Urban Decay Primer Potion, but if you want a colored base, use the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream pots. They cost 1/3 what MAC does, and believe it or not, their lasting power is far longer!
