It was a decent product when launched but it seems like they must not be maintaining the backend server support for this product which means you can use it but not the wifi feature but why did you buy this product when you could have gone for the non wifi model for less $$$? Also the new firmware will drain the battery so changing batteries frequently will be costly and time consuming. No thanks. I rarely give bad reviews but this is not the trap to get if you want wifi connectivity. Look on the manufacturer's website and try finding any smartkill device(s). None the last I check so this must be stock from a selloff of this obsolete product. My opinion of course but do your own research and you'll prob agree with what I've written here.
Review: Perfect for vacation home rentals, and it works! - We recently purchased a cabin to use and rent as a vacation rental. We quickly realized we had a rodent problem when exploring the in's and out's of the new place. I first purchased two of the mouse sized units, but found one moved across the attic on my next visit and realized I was dealing with a rodent that was a bit bigger than I had thought. I ordered these, and after reading reviews took great care to ensure I wore gloves when handling the unit to avoid transferring my scent. They were easy to set up, and I put one in the utility room and the other in the attic. About two days later, sitting at home about 1.5 hours away, I got an alert that the attic trap had a kill. The next day, I went to the cabin and was a bit skeptical, but when I entered the attic I saw the back half of the largest rat I have ever seen sticking out the back of this device. Needless to say, money well spent. I emptied the trap by tilting it back and letting the rodent slide into a trash bag and then reset the trap. We got a mouse in the same trap the next day. As the rat size works on both, unless you are sure you only have a mouse problem I would suggest getting the rat size and cover all your bases. What I like about this trap is that I'll know when I get a kill so I can deal with it quickly as we are not always at the cabin to check the trap. I also like the idea that if a guest is at the house, I don't have to worry about a screaming rat with a spring trap caught on it's tail running around the attic. It's pretty likely that no one would ever know there was a kill, and if the guest was staying for a while I could at least come up with a plan to deal with the kill before hearing a complaint about a dead animal smell. For the wifi, it has a pretty good reach through floors and walls. I can confidently cover the whole cabin with these traps and plan to pick up a few more as I work my way through sealing the access points. This way, if I get a kill I know I have more work to do in the area.

After doing a bit of research, the company does not support this product anymore. It will either not work or drain your battery depending on firmware. It was a decent product when launched but it seems like they must not be maintaining the backend server support for this product which means you can use it but not the wifi feature but why did you buy this product when you could have gone for the non wifi model for less $$$? Also the new firmware will drain the battery so changing batteries frequently will be costly and time consuming. No thanks. I rarely give bad reviews but this is not the trap to get if you want wifi connectivity. Look on the manufacturer's website and try finding any smartkill device(s). None the last I check so this must be stock from a selloff of this obsolete product. My opinion of course but do your own research and you'll prob agree with what I've written here.

### ⭐ Defective and does not work!!!

I bought a two pack. One lost connection while the batteries were supposedly still at 70% the day before. Changed the batteries and it won’t turn on, the red light in the on switch just intermittently flashes, won’t stay on and won’t connect. The other one is supposedly connected and on, and there are rat droppings all around and you can see on the bait where they came in and ate what peanut butter they could get and and no dead rat in the trap and no message from the app that it had been triggered. Go figure, seemed too good to be true and it was. Going back to good old spring loaded rat traps because they actually work. Now I know why they only give a 30 day warranty on these things. I will never buy these again, complete waste of money.
