The whole body is a sort of oval shape, threads on the rounded areas with a plastic nut to sandwich it over a hole in the car, while the flattened bit I guess is designed so it won't rotate/twist/slip, especially as it's tightened. It'll just slide right into a hole made according to the shape and size, like an "(=)". The plastic cover is a good quality, I think it's rubber. It's bendy and fits well. The spade connectors are plastic covered and fit very snug. We will see how it lasts in 6 months time. If it fails i will update this review. Pros: Lights up when on so you don't drain the battery by mistake. Decent build quality for the price. Cheap and quick dispatch. Cons: Wire length supplied is ridiculously short. Be prepared to fashion your own. No way to see if the light is on whilst the rubber is in place. Wire connector is iffy. Had to fix it before use.
