I got it in the gold daisy design and because there is a raised lip, the screen is protected when it drops. The color on my gold iPhone comes through the clear spaces and makes a nice backdrop. I have dropped my phone plenty of times and it remains intact. The case is pretty slim and doesn't add bulk. Nothing can mimic the thinness of an uncovered iPhone but this is pretty good.Yes, the design does start to chip. I bought this case about 5 months ago and there are some minor chips. It's not very noticeable, but who knows what it'll look like in a few more months. Also, the clear sides start to get dingy looking and dirty. I've noticed this happen with all clear cases though- they start to yellow no matter what you do. If this were $15, I wouldn't mind the chipping too much. But at $30 it really shouldn't chip. That being said, finding a case that protects your phone AND is cute is really difficult.
