There are many resources on the internet, as well as other books on Amazon that are very good at teaching the basics. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of ink cartridges, the choice in nibs (writing tips) and the quality and flow of the ink for the price. This is a great set of pens for someone who is just starting out and trying to decide if calligraphy is for them. They are of a high enough quality that they give a good idea of the skill required to write well, but are not too expensive as to be a loss if you decide that calligraphy is not for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for beginners *by D***A on February 26, 2020* The pens great, but like many other calligraphy pens, they can have a bit of a learning curve. To people who have issues with the ink not coming out I recommend putting it in the slot and closing the pen then put it between both hands and roll it like you're making a stick fire for a minute or so. Afterwards take the top off and start to press down on the paper, preferably thick or isolated paper so it doesn't bleed through.
