Order 1-2 sizes up *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2023* Normally our boys ages 8 & 12 use the O'Neill Basic Skin short sleeve Rash guards (normal slim cut) for swim team so we purchase a size smaller (size 6 & 10) so they are closer fit.BUT this time we decided to try the Professional Fit (surfers) and it is MUCH Smaller. The size 10 fits our lean 8 year old snug. Perfect for swim team, but it couldn't be any smaller. It looks SO SMALL, but once stretched on it works good. We would order a 14 for our 12 year old. One for each of my kids. The size 12 (blue) was too small for my 8 year old. He is an average sized kid, not big at all. It was not only small, but short in length at the waist, it hit above his belly button. The size 10 in another color I ordered was larger than the size 12. There’s no way either of those would fit my 12 year old, who is small for his age. I understand these are supposed to be skin tight, but it’s so small that it’s like a crop top, higher than the belly button. I did and it was still pretty snug. I don’t think he got to wear it more than a handful of times and it’s already too small. It was a nice quality and beautiful color of green. I recommend it but with the caveat that you order two sizes up. If it were not so small, it would’ve got a higher score from me.
