Remove the pinion from the motor before doing so. **Q: Does it read information on regular 3 phase brushless motors without the sensor wire on the motor hooked to the pwm controller.** A: No you need sensor wire **Q: Hello what is the max current you can pull through this analyzer? also will it give an rpm readout on non sensored motors?** A: It will display the current the motor is pulling and it will give rpm for non sensored motors. Keep in mind this is a tuning tool, it is not a dyno. No load amp draw is vastly different than loaded draw. Most instructions out there recommend adjusting the timing of the motor to 6 amp, no load, on this tuner. I recently purchased a Hobby Wing Justock 21.5 FTM from Ron's Rotors. He provides a dyno pull with each motor. The motor pulled 14 amps at max torque. When I put it on the analyzer, it showed a no load draw of 3 amps at 40 degrees avg timing. **Q: Will this also work on a brushed motor?** A: Only brushless motors. Brushless motors have a sensor wire that is connected between the ESC and motor, this is also used when you use the motor analyzer. Also tests each A,B,C, phase on your motor aswell as your sensor board if running a sensored motor. It reads actual KV/RPM and actual timing of the motor so you can dial in the best performance for your motor/vehicle set-up.
