A series II of this, and a series II of the other... nothing ever gave me the feeling of holding an authentic ribbon mic from that beautiful era in music, as to when I got this mic out of its case. It is exactly what it was meant to be. robust, large, heavy and with its cable ATTACHED. This is what a mic from that period is supposed to be like. the fact that this mic has its cable permantely attached is not going to keep me from achiving great recordings.I am completely satisfied with this microphone. the day I recieved it I only made sure that it was in perfect working conditions, and it looked like some sort of "king of rock and roll" when I put it on its stand in the middle of my music room. I am sure it will be thetopic for a long conversation during my next recording session. the other owsome fact is, that vintage mics are still being manufactured in an era in which everything is being made small, out of plastic or some kind of fibre, and with a limited life span.just by holding this microphone you can tell it was made to last.the output signal is very good.
