Caveat: you have to buy a free motion foot separately because the machine does not come with one. I bought a Janome Convertible Free Motion Quilting Foot Set for Low Shank Models, and that worked fine with this machine. It cost me about $55.00 on Amazon. Once you have the free motion foot installed, you drop the feed dogs using the switch on the back of the machine. The user manual shows exactly where the feed dog switch is. **Q: Does it come with Foot Peddle ?** A: Yes **Q: Where is this sewing machine made?** A: Three factories: Japan/Taiwan/Thailand EXCELLENT machines; own 5 of them, one is over 10 years old no problems, one over 5 years no problems, one 3 yrs & Bought 2 about 3 months ago- LUV each one! **Q: Can the extension table be stored in the carrying case?** A: In no way is this a "carrying case" - it's bottomless. It's a hard dust cover that's useless as a dust cover because of the huge open area for the machine handle. There's a huge gap that lets dust, etc. down in there. USELESS. At first, I placed a large piece of fabric over the top and then put the hard case on top of that. I had to leave a lot of fabric at the top so I could grab the handle through that HUGE opening. If it's just a "dust cover" as advertised, why the need for the HUGE OPENING for the handle? I sewed my own dustcover (slipcover) with pockets for the pedal, the power cord, accessories... I also made a zippered case that sits snugly in the throat of the machine: 4"H x 4"W x 6.5"L. The "hard case dust cover" is useless, which is a shame. It's a waste of plastic, a waste of money. It's a shame because the machine is lightweight and portable, but you have to buy a separate carrying case if you want one. Grrrrrr.
